One of the highlights of enjoying a cruise is the cuisine. However, what if you follow a specific diet due to allergens or otherwise? We found Disney to be pretty accommodating for a myriad of dietary restrictions from Gluten Free to Shellfish Allergens to Plant Based and More! Bring your appetite as we discover Vegetarian cuisine on the Disney Treasure.
Vegetarian Cuisine at Coco

Experience the flavors of Mexico! On the 7-night cruise, we started at Coco giving us three nights at the restaurant, with one being pirate night. Find each Vegetarian meal denoted with a Chef Mickey on the menu and listed below. Other options, such as Plant based, are shown in the pictures.
- Appetizers- Goats Cheese, Yellow and Red Beet Tower (WHich Michelle said was delicious)
- Salads- Cucumber and Queso Fresco Salad; Baby Romaine Salad
- Entrees- Gemelli Pasta; Butternut Squash Enchilada

Pirate Night for us was held at Coco. Gone were the sombreros and in were the tricorn hats and kerchiefs. The menu shifted away from Mexican and towards swashbuckling fare. Only two menu items were specifically marked Vegetarian, however, after consultation with our staff Vegetarian we learned several of the appetizers as well as most soups and salads were as well.
- Shanghaied Noodle Stir-Fry
- Barbary Coast Falafel

Whereas the first night at Coco is all about Mexican culture and traditions, the “second” rotation is more Disney movie themed. Enjoy dished names after your favorite characters as you watch the show.
- Appetizers-Celeriac, Herb Guacamole, Blue Corn Chip
- Salads- Romaine Wedge
- Soup-Chilled Avocado Soup
- Entrees-Blistered Poblano Pepper
Discover 1923

I love the ambiance of 1923. It is at this dwelling where many guests dress up in their best 1920’s themed clothing. Named after the year The Walt Disney Company was founded; the interior is full of details from the golden age of animation. This menu had Zero Vegetarian options denoted and few plant-based offered if you entertain those. Our recommendation is to ask your server on the night prior night for a Vegetarian meal from the second 1923 menu or another specialized dinner option. (We did this on pirate night for a shellfish allergy and were treated to Indian food!)

Our second rotation to 1923 was Captain Gala. This menu surprisingly offered significantly more options than the first. Other diners might be enjoying lobster from this menu, but you’ll have plenty to please your palate.
- Appetizers- Double-baked Three Cheese Souffle
- Salads- Baby Iceberg Salad; Belgian Endive, Radicchio, and Escarole Lettuce
- From the Kettle- White Onion Soup
- Entrees- Ratatouille Feuilletee; Californian Riesling Risotto
Marvel-ous Vegetarian Options

Your first night at Marvel is an Avenger Technology Showcase. You’ll enjoy video guest appearances from the Antman and Wasp and more! I hope you enjoy the show because the main menu is lacking in Vegetarian items. Only two items are marked on the menu. Our resident vegetarian often orders side vegetables and a baked potato as a meal when she doesn’t see anything else she wants.
- Soups- White Cheddar and Broccolini Soup
- Entree- Ricotta Gnocchi

Marvel’s second menu is “Fit for a Hero,” and allows for a few additional options.
- Appetizers-Heirloom Tomato Caprese; Porcini Sacchetti
- Salads- Iceberg Wedge Salad
- Soups- White Cheddar, Broccolini Soup
- Entrees-Wild Mushroom, Sweet Onion Strudel
Buffets

If you like the flexibility and ease of a buffet, there are still plenty of options. Located on Deck 11 of the Treasure you’ll find both Marceline Market and Mickey and Friend’s Festival of Foods. Marceline Market is a series of indoor buffets located in the aft with fabulously prepared vegetable options and salads.

At Mickey and Friend’s Festival of Foods, located on Deck 11 Foward, drop by Daisy’s Pizza Pies, Donald’s Cantina, or Goofy’s Grill. Daisy’s offers a Plant-based sausage pizza with Sauteed spinach, garlic confit, sliced plum tomato, plant-based mozzarella, and parmesan. This option is made without animal meat, dairy, eggs, or honey. Right next door at Donald’s Cantina, build your own burritos, tacos and bowls. Add some finishing touches at the condiment bar. When looking for something to sink your teeth into, visit Goofy’s Grill where you can order a Plant-Based Sausage or Impossible Burger.
Discover Vegetarian Cuisine on Castaway

We’re not much help with Vegetarian options in port, unless you’re at Castaway Cay. Disney makes sure you’re covered while you enjoy a relaxing day at the beach! The food is buffet style with many choices of fruits and salads. For Vegetarians who entertain plant-based burgers, you can receive an Impossible burger upon request.
