Disney Channel stars don’t just sing, dance, and crack on-screen jokes. They also work together for a great cause; inspiring a lifelong love of reading!
Disney Reads Day is an event where Disney Channel stars are given the chance to give back. The stars gathered for a storytime with kids from the Boys and Girls Club to celebrate reading. Let’s take a look at the stars that stepped out and stepped up for the event.
Isaak Presley & Kayla Maisonet – Fuller House, Stuck in the Middle
Olivia Rodrigo, Madison Hu & DeVore Ledridge – Bizaardvark
Ariana Greenblatt & Joseph Nieves – How I Met Your Mother, The Mentalist, Stuck in the Middle
Jorge Diaz – Jane the Virgin, Elena of Avalor
Bryce Gheisar – A Dog’s Purpose, Walk the Prank
Lela B – Rapper/model
Brandon Severs – Walk the Prank
Disney Reads Day aims to donate 1 million books to low-income educators and families nation-wide. And as any fashionista knows, true beauty is also about what on the inside. So grab a book a fill your head with interesting and fanciful tales!
As part of Disney Reads Day, the “Magic of Storytelling” campaign kicked off with Emma Watson in a PSA. That’s right, Emma Watson, aka Belle, made a video to read us all a story. My Disney Princess dreams are coming true!
So how can you get involved? I’m glad you asked! Disney will donate one book for each “shelfie” (a selfie with your favorite book using the hashtag #magicofstorytelling) on Twitter and Instagram, now through March 31. So grab a book, cuddle up, and get reading!
