Disney Jollywood Nights is getting ready to bring the glitz, glamour, and holiday cheer back to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Disney has shared a new look at what guests can expect from the separately ticketed event in 2026, and there are quite a few new additions joining the party. Of course, we have our eyes firmly on the fashion and merchandise, and this year Gertie is finally getting the attention she deserves!
Gertie Takes Center Stage in the 2026 Merchandise
Can we talk about the Gertie Loungefly?!
Disney has previewed several pieces of exclusive Disney Jollywood Nights merchandise for 2026, and the beloved dinosaur of Echo Lake is one of the stars of the collection. The new Gertie Loungefly features the Hollywood Studios icon dressed for Christmas and covered in a blanket of snow. It is quirky, nostalgic, and exactly the type of Disney Parks bag that is going to get people talking.
Gertie also appears on the new 2026 Jollywood Nights Pullover. The design features her surrounded by ornaments, stars, snowflakes, and plenty of sparkle. Even the sleeves get in on the fun with additional festive details. This feels like one of those pieces you can wear to the party and then pull out every holiday season afterward.
There is also a Gertie ornament, because obviously our favorite Christmas dinosaur deserves a spot on the tree!
Ollie and Duffy haven’t been forgotten, either. The new Jollywood Nights headband is especially fun because the bow is detachable and the ears are double-sided. Depending on how you wear it, you can show off Gertie, Santa Duffy, or Ollie!
Speaking of Duffy, he is also appearing as Santa on a new Jollywood Nights mug that looks perfect for hot cocoa season.
All of the previewed merchandise will be exclusive to Disney Jollywood Nights and available during the event at the shop near Frozen Fractal Gifts. A valid event wristband is required to purchase the merchandise.
A Brand-New Lounge Is Joining the Party
There are new experiences coming to Jollywood Nights this year, too!
One of the biggest additions is the Checkin’ It Twice Lounge in Animation Courtyard. The new space will feature specialty beverages, a live DJ, and entertainment throughout the evening.
Jollywood Nights already leans into an old Hollywood holiday party atmosphere, so adding another place where guests can actually stop, grab a drink, and enjoy the entertainment feels like a natural fit. Disney says more details about the menu will be revealed in the upcoming Jollywood Nights Foodie Guide.
New Monsters, Inc. Characters Are Coming to Pixar Plaza
The character lineup is expanding this year as well. Mike Wazowski will return to Pixar Plaza, but he is bringing some new friends along for the festivities.
For the first time at the event, guests will be able to meet George Sanderson and Needleman from Monsters, Inc.!
Jollywood Nights has become a particularly fun event for unusual Disney character sightings, and these additions definitely continue that trend. The overall 2026 character lineup includes everyone from Duffy and Santa Stitch to Max Goof as Powerline, Scrooge McDuck, Bing Bong, Partysaurus Rex, and Chewbacca celebrating Life Day.
Glisten! Is Getting Some New Disney Friends
The “Glisten!” holiday skating show will also return in front of the Chinese Theater, but it is getting a little extra Disney magic this year.
Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Genie will make appearances in the show for the first time. They will join the world-class skaters, holiday music, projections, and Art Deco-inspired atmosphere that have become part of the production.
Several other Jollywood favorites are returning as well, including “Disney Holidays in Hollywood,” “What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along,” the Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club, Pixar Disco, Jazzy Holidays at The Hollywood Brown Derby, and “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!”
Between a brand-new lounge, new character appearances, updates to “Glisten!,” and a merchandise collection that finally gives Gertie her moment, Disney Jollywood Nights is adding plenty of new reasons to dress up and head to Hollywood Studios this holiday season.
Personally, I think that Gertie Loungefly is going to be one of the must-have items of the event. A Christmas dinosaur covered in snow? It doesn’t get much more Hollywood Studios than that!
