With the coronavirus pandemic sweeping across the nation, the economy is in recession, and people are losing jobs. People have had to find ways to adjust their lives in order to cope.

Thankfully, technology has allowed people to bridge the gap with the Internet, making it easy for businesses to offer their goods online and for consumers to shop from home. Since most people cannot go to Disney World due to travel restrictions, they can still satisfy their craving with Disney-themed items that you can sell online. Here are some ideas:

Personalized Pillows

Now that more people are spending their days at home, they are realizing that their pillows need to be replaced. When you offer them a good pillow, who are they to resist? Especially if you choose to personalize it for them along with their favorite Disney character. It is a simple business; you only need to invest in some tools and fabric and get your sewing skills up to par, and you are good to go. Once you have a following, you can expand to offer other personalized bedding.

Coasters

You can also create coasters and sell them online. You can cater your products to people who are into collecting anything Disney-related. You can even make matching Mickey and Minnie coasters for those about to get married. You can experiment with different materials, shapes, and colors to pull this off.

Scented Candles

Making and selling scented candles is sure to be a hit today. People are craving things to calm their senses amid the pandemic, and lighting a candle can give them a sense of tranquility. You can start by researching the different fragrances that help people with stress levels. Some of the scents that you can start with include lavender, cedarwood, and frankincense. Make it even more appealing by designing it with their Disney princess of choice.

Jewelry

Yes, you read that right. You can make your own Disney-themed jewelry and sell it online. While you cannot provide high-end rings like those sold by Love & Promise Jewelers, you can make simple craft earrings or bracelets that you can sell quickly. You can look to other craft jewelers for inspiration, but make sure to keep yours unique. It’s one way of making sure you stand out and ensures you aren’t accused of plagiarism. Practice and perfect your craft so you will have tons of clients.

Shampoo Bars

If you are someone who wants to make sustainable choices, you can start making shampoo bars. Since you don’t have to spend on packaging like you would for shampoo bottles, you have low overhead and you get to help save the environment. It would also be a huge plus if you can use organic ingredients. You can use Disney-themed molds for an added boost of creativity.

Artwork

If you are genuinely skilled at making art, then it is high time to make money from it. A lot of art enthusiasts are now supporting a new breed of talent. Just keep posting your artwork, and before you know it, you’ll be catching their eyes. Showcase your expertise and let the world see what you are capable of. You can start by creating caricatures of Disney characters.

Commissioned Calligraphy Work

If your friends compliment you on how great your calligraphy looks, why not make money with your skill? You can take your skill to the next level by making personalized calligraphy labels. Now that consumers are all about personalization, it could be a great money-making activity. You can offer calligraphy engraving services for their Disney collection.

These may be simple items that you can make, but they also require commitment and dedication. Make sure that you research which of these things has a market. Once you’ve figured that out, learn how you can market your wares online.

I have a small Etsy shop and I noticed that a lot of my Disney themed stuff is selling during these times. I make running headbands, and thanks to all the virtual race options runDisney has offered lately, my sales have been up.
