Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival is only 2 months away. This year it will be back, bigger and better than ever, with a first ever expansion into the park’s Future World.
Recently the Walt Disney World Resort announced that 4 new food and beverage marketplaces will be making their way into Future World. The much anticipated fall festival will be opening September 25, 2015 and will run until November 16, 2015. With over 30 global marketplaces, this festival is sure to be the biggest one yet!
I’m quite fascinated by the new Artistry of Wine & Cheese Festival area, that will be along the walkway towards Future World West. This new area will feature the Cheese Studio, which has a cheese sampler served on an artist’s palette to pair with wines. How fabulous does THAT sound? Of course a Wine & Cheese area wouldn’t be complete with out a Wine Studio offering premium wines on tap, to keep the wine deliciously fresh. The kegs of wine not only keep the wine fresh, but helps to eliminate a large amount of waste with no bottle, cork, cardboard, or paper to throw away.
As you near the Character Spot, you will find Next Eats. The new Next Eats area has 2 new exciting marketplaces inspired by ABC’s series “The Chew”. The Sustainable Chew marketplace will feature three dishes, and the Chew Lab will dazzle you with culinary techniques like with a Liquid Nitrogen Chocolate Almond Truffle, and Warm Whiskey Caramel. I’m so thrilled about getting to see some food science in action!
If you can’t tell not only am I all about fabulous trends, and fashions, I’m also a total foodie! I feel like I’m sprinkled in pixie dust with all this exciting news about the upcoming Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. I’ll for sure be there for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon weekend, but I’m thinking I may need to make another trip just to see everything!
