Her Universe is one of my favorite clothing lines ever! Their designs are inspired by classic Disney, Star Wars, and Marvel characters along with video games, anime, and more. Her Universe combines fandom with fashion and manages to do both beautifully.
Each year, Her Universe, in conjunction with Loungefly, Hot Topic, and a few other brands, hosts a fashion show and competition for new and upcoming designers. The winner has the opportunity to create a collection for Her Universe that will be sold at Hot Topic stores. The fashion show is considered couture, and past designs have been stunning. One of the highlights of the evening is seeing Ashley Eckstein’s dress! She is the creator of Her Universe and the host of the show. As you might expect, her gowns never disappoint!
Sneak peeks are another fun aspect of the show! In the past, Ashley has given us a fun look at upcoming designs and collections for the Her Universe line. I always look forward to seeing these!
This year’s show will take place on July 19th at 6 pm at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Diego. Admission is free, but seating is limited. Guests are allowed to line up starting at 1:00, and I would suggest getting there early. If you can’t attend in person, Disney Fashionista writer Wanda will be there covering the event live!
