Nineties kids rejoice! Buckle-Down has a new collection of Disney VHS Bags. Now I’m going to have to break out the Dunkaroos and get ready for a 90’s Disney marathon with these bags by my side.
If you were missing all of the classic films from your childhood being displayed in the format that you know and love, you’re in luck! This collection has all of your bases covered. The first bag is the Beauty and the Beast bag, found here. On the front, we see Belle dancing with the Beast in her yellow dress as all of their friends watch on.
The back of the bag has more classic scenes from the movie as well as the enchanted rose, which is slowly dropping its petals in the photo. There is also a brief synopsis of the film. Finally, look closely at the bottom of the bag and you will see a retro Disney logo.
Next up is the Lion King Bag. I laughed when I first saw this bag because I think that Scar looks very funny looking on at the bottom of the picture. He is giving Simba the side eye.
On the back, there is an overview of the movie, as well as pictures of some of the pivotal scenes from the film. I love the bright sunset on the back. It is so happy looking!
The next bag is the Aladdin Bag. I didn’t have this movie growing up. I think that I was too scared of Jafar. Because of that, I missed out on seeing the artwork on VHS case. I really enjoyed seeing it now for the first time. There’s so much detail on the cover. It tells the story of the movie, without using any words or sounds. Everything is there, from Jafar and his evil henchman, Iago, to Aladdin and Jasmine exploring new worlds on their magic carpet.
The back of the box has just as many details. I think that the Genie’s personality really shines on the bottom of the bag.
The next item comes from one of my all-time favorite movies! I’m singing even as I think about it. The Hercules Bag will make your wardrobe and day a little brighter. It has crystal-clear skies and puffy, marshmallow clouds. Hercules looks like he is showing off, as Meg and Hades stand below.
It only gets better on the back of the bag. That’s because, not only do we see baby Hercules, but we also see baby Pegasus. How can those two not sprinkle a little joy into your life?
The next bag is the Hunchback of Notre Dame Bag, found here. I was excited to see that it was part of the collection. That’s because I don’t think that the movie gets a lot of attention and I think that it should. The Hunchback of Notre Dame just might have made its way to the top of my need to rewatch list!
If you have the opportunity to read the back of this movie, make sure that you do. It really tugged on my heartstrings. The mix of love, compassion, and humor in this movie comes out in the bag as well. From the synopsis to the pictures of the characters. It is clear that this is a very special movie and bag.
The final movie and bag scream of 90s nostalgia. One look at this A Goofy Movie Bag and I am a very little girl in the back of my parents’ car driving past a drive-in movie. The bag is a cheery blue color, with loud, 90s colors and accents mixed in.
I didn’t remember this, but on the back of the bag is one of my favorite scenes. It’s the scene with Max and Goofy in the boat. I love their relationship. After seeing this picture, I know that I need to have this bag.
