The Taste of EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival 2021 just started this past Wednesday and I’m buzzing with excitement! I was only able to go once last year because the parks closed soon after it began. But, I plan to visit lots of times this year! In addition to the gorgeous flowers, fun character topiaries, and yummy food booths, you can participate in Spike’s Pollen-nation Exploration Scavenger Hunt 2021!
The scavenger hunt costs $7.99 plus tax and if you are an annual passholder your discount applies! First, you purchase the pretty flower map at Mouse Gear, Disney Traders, or World Traveler. Then, you find Spike the Bee in all the different gardens and put your sticker in the proper place. When you are finished, you bring your finished flower to one of the redemption centers (the same places the hunt is available to purchase) and pick up a prize. And, the prize options this year are fabulous! There are four plate set options and you actually get two plates!
Obviously, one of the plate sets features the star of the hunt, Spike the Bee! He is buzzing around and carrying a basket of flowers. Instead of the sun, there is a sphere of honeycomb that is topped with honey. It’s very sweet!
The Figment plate, as you would imagine, is mostly purple and features the always adorable Figment and an array of colorful flowers.
The Minnie plate is predominantly pink and purple and features her walking over a mint green bridge while holding a container of flowers. In the background, you will spot a purple Spaceship Earth, Eiffel Tower, and Mexico pyramid as well as flowers and butterflies. This one definitely makes me think of Spring!
Last, but not least is the Orange Bird plate. It features him jumping out of a bucket of oranges. Now I have a hankering for a Citrus Swirl!
