May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Whereas there is still a stigma around mental health, awareness and understanding are on the rise. I am a big advocate for anxiety and mental health in women. Kudos to Disney for introducing these weighted plushies and acknowledging the need. They are a plus for relaxation.
It’s common knowledge that weighted blankets assist with anxiety. The same is true with weighted plushies. They are associated with improving mood and focus, decreasing anxiety, and can help meltdown frequency. The first medium plushie is a Mickey Mouse. Stitched with muted color fabrics and a welcoming smile, he contains a 1.5 weight. He makes me feel serene just looking at his enchanting face. Hey Mickey!
Next, we have the lovely Lady weighted plush from Lady and the Tramp. Like the Mickey plush, she is also created with soft pastel-like tones. Rocking lovely lashes and friendly eyes, who wouldn’t want to cuddle up with this sweet girl? Sign me up!
I’m intrigued to see if Disney will be introducing more characters into this product line. I can envision so many more characters they could introduce. Which tranquil plushie would you like to see?
