We have been anxiously awaiting the announcement for the opening date of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park, and now we finally have one! This exciting new addition is set to open on July 18th, 2020!
This new immersive land will allow you to team up with the Avengers in heroic locations! A different Super Hero or ally will host each location and allow Guests to learn how they use their powers, technology, and knowledge!
The Worldwide Engineering Brigade (WEB) is an area featuring Spider-Man! It includes a new family-friendly ride called WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure! This attraction will allow Guests to sling their own webs and put their skills to the test! This ride includes 3D and new technology that allows Guests to experience what it is like to be Spider-Man!
In this area, there will also be The WEB Suppliers store! This store will have fabulous themed merchandise that relates back to the attraction! There will even be interactive Spider-Bots available for purchase! These bots have eight legs that allow them to move forward and backward while you control them via remote! You can even customize them to have powers or styles of your favorite Characters like Black Widow, Iron Man, Black Panther, Ant-Man, and The Wasp! A backpack to carry your new invention will be available, along with awesome souvenirs like Spider-Man light goggles, a spider web kit, and Spider-Man and Iron Man Funko Pop! figures!
There will also be the Campus Supply Pod where you can purchase Avengers clothing and accessories like hoodies, tees, hats, cups, and other supplies Super Heroes might need!
It wouldn’t be Disney without a fabulous dining location, and the Pym Test Kitchen will be just that! This “food innovation science lab” is going to be super neat! All of the items offered will tell a story! Plus, they will be uniquely sized! After all, Pym Particles are a funny thing! You’ll also be able to enjoy adult beverages at the Pym Tasting Lab including beer and Pym Particle-infused cocktails! Just look for the giant beer can!
There is even going to be a Shawarma Palace at Avengers Campus! They all loved it so much in New York, they had to bring it here too! There’s plenty of fun memorabilia to see at this food cart! You’ll also be able to try some of Taneleer Tivan’s favorite eats at the Terran Treats food cart located near Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! Don’t worry–You will still get to enjoy that attraction, too!
Even if you aren’t interested in the food or the rides, you’ll have the chance to encounter heroes and villains like Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Doctor Strange, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Black Panther, the Dora Milaje, Thor, Loki, Taskmaster, Ant-Man, The Wasp, and even Spider-Man! Iron Man will be sporting new armor, and Spider-Man will be showing off his acrobatic talents in the skies above Avengers Campus.
Doctor Strange might even recruit you to train in the mystic arts! There is an ancient sanctum that comes to life with powerful spells! It even glows at night and shows off all of its mystic energy!
This is genuinely going to be a unique world, and I’m sure Avengers Campus won’t disappoint! Check out the Disney Parks Blog for more information!
