Decorating my Christmas tree is one of my favorite family traditions! Each year, my Littles get to choose an ornament, so decorating the tree is always full of nostalgia and “remember whens.” My daughter almost always chooses a princess ornament, and there are lots of new ones this year. I can’t wait to go shopping with her and pick out a new one (or three) for our tree!
I adore Tiana, and I don’t think she gets nearly enough attention! Her work ethic and ambition make her a perfect role model, and that dress makes me swoon! This ornament captures the sweep and billow of her lily pad dress and her “I can’t believe I’m about to kiss a frog” face. Even if my daughter doesn’t choose this one, it will probably end up on my tree.
Bare feet on a princess? Somehow, Rapunzel makes it work! This ornament is sparkly and fun and sweet–just like Rapunzel! Plus, it has Pascal; what more could you possibly want?
Along with being a writer for Disney Fashionista, I also teach Upper School Literature, so I feel a strong kinship with Belle. We both love books and want to share that love with others! In this ornament, Belle is shown hugging her anthology of fairy tales close to her heart. This one needs to go on my classroom tree!
My Disney confession is that I really love Frozen–a lot. I still play the soundtrack and sing along, and I still think about dressing as Elsa every Halloween. (Too soon?) Their ornaments suit them perfectly! Anna is holding a troll and wearing such a kind expression, and Elsa looks every bit the snow queen! I love how her cape billows out around her.
Snow White and Cinderella are the original Disney princesses. Here, they both have shimmering dresses, and they are holding their iconic symbols.
Ariel and Jasmine are both known for their fiercely independent spirits. While both of these are pretty, I think Jasmine steals the show here. Her face and outfit are beautifully crafted!
Mulan is celebrating her 20th anniversary this year. She looks beautiful and wise, and just like a girl worth fighting for! Even Mushu got some love on this one.
In my opinion, the prettiest of all these ornaments is Merida. Her dress is gorgeous, but her hair is absolute perfection! And just look at that sweet little expression on her face! This one is so beautiful!
Moana is one of our most recent princesses, and judging from her meet and greet wait time at the Not So Scary Party, she is also one of the most popular. I love Moana, but this is without a doubt my least favorite ornament in the collection.
If you have a tiny princess, chances are Elena of Avalor is pretty much on repeat at your house. This is a beautiful rendition of this Disney Jr. princess.
Pocahontas rarely gets any merchandise, but this ornament is really well done. I’m so glad that they chose to include her forest friends; they are my favorite part of the movie!
All of these ornaments can be found at Disney’s Days of Christmas in Disney Springs. I haven’t seen them on ShopDisney or the ShopParks app yet. Each one retails for $21.99 individually or three for $60.00. If you need a little help picking a few of these up from the park, a personal shopper can help. We recommend shopthemeparks.com.
It’s so hard to pick a favorite from this collection, but I’m going to say Tiana and Merida are my must-haves. Drop a comment and tell me which one you need for your collection!
